Economists cut 2017 inflation for Brazil

SAO PAULO–Economists reduced their outlook for Brazil inflation this year and, as a result, expect lower interest rates, according to a weekly central-bank survey.

Brazil’s inflation rate, as measured by the official consumer-price index, is expected to end 2017 at 4.19%, according to the survey of 100 economists, compared with the 4.36% rate forecast in the previous week’s survey.
